Betty Sophia Oakes, formerly of Sedgewick, Alberta and Kinsella, Alberta passed away Monday, September 23, 2019 at the age of 95 years at Viking, Alberta.

Betty is survived by: daughter Marlene (Carl), son Carter (Betty), son David (Dawn), and daughter Faye (Chuck), as well as six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Tom, and her sisters: Audrey, Muriel, and Shirley.

A Funeral Service will be held at the St. John's Anglican Church, Sedgewick, Alberta on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Rick Laurendeau officiating.

A Private interment will be at the Jarrow Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the Jarrow Cemetery Fund or to the charity of one's choice.
