Brent Russell Hanson passed away suddenly at the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton on March 23, 2026 at the age of 66.

He will be dearly missed and remembered by his mother Lydia Hanson and his sisters Lori Schill (Bob) and Debbie Hanson (Ken). He was predeceased by his father, Russell Hanson.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Golden Valley Lutheran Church, Viking, Alberta with Pastor Chris Koch officiating. An interment will follow at the Viking Cemetery. Lunch will then follow at the Lutheran Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at the Viking Health Foundation or the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
