Carol arrived in this world as an early Christmas gift to Walter and Ona Garvie in 1939. That generous and giving spirit was a part of her character and presence her whole life. Family, church and her community were always a priority for her and many of us have been blessed by her sacrificial gifts of time, service and love. One of her greatest gifts to us was her voice, which she raised in praise to her Lord and used to bless her friends, family and community at many weddings, funerals, and Church services. Mom loved to sew and enjoyed countless hours creating everything from crepe paper costumes for Halloween to the beautiful quilts so many of her family and friends have been blessed to receive. Her yard and her flowers were a place of solace and she loved to "greenhouse" every spring. Carol peacefully moved on to Heaven on the evening of July 2, 2024.

Carol leaves to mourn her daughter Judith, sons and daughters in law Gordon & Janice, Doug & Cheryl, grandchildren – Cole, TJ (Courtney), Marti-Jo (Kevin), Kira (Jacob), Garrett and Jess (Natasha) as well as her sister Anna-Mae (Kevin), many nieces and nephews and extended family members. She was predeceased by her Dad & Mom, brothers Dale and Elwood, sister Cleora, grandsons Wyatt & Cody, and son-in-law Neil.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Viking United Church, Viking, Alberta with the burial to follow immediately after at God's Acre Cemetery in Kinsella, Alberta and then a time of fellowship and lunch at the Kinsella Hall, Kinsella, Alberta.
