Edith (Edie) May Petras passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Viking, Alberta at the age of 79 years. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Louis, daughters Tammy (Elias), Teresa (Brent), Colleen (Kevin), Roxane (Glen), 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brothers Gordon, Stanley, Ken, Donald (Jean), sisters Doreen (Richard), Shirley, Gladys (Ken), sister-in-law Agnes and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Clarence, James and sister Mary.

Edie enjoyed farm life and working as a dietician at the Viking Hospital for over 20 years and is remembered for her wonderful cooking. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, cross stitching, crocheting, knitting, jigsaw puzzles, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her daughters and their families.

A Memorial Service will be held at The Holy Heart of Mary, Viking, Alberta on Friday, February  22, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Father Luan Vu as celebrant.

Inurnment to follow at the Viking Cemetery.
