It is with great sadness that the family of Ethel Irene McLaren (Grannie) announce her passing on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the age of 97 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son Colin (Ev), granddaughters Bobbi-Jo and Billi-Jo (Brent) and great-grandchildren Evan and Meghan; sister-in-law Connie Saunders, nieces, nephews, family members, and dear friends.

Ethel was predeceased by her husband Claude and daughter Muriel, mother Lydia Houseman, father Howard Saunders, step-father Floyd Houseman, brothers Howard and Gordon Saunders, sister-in-law Ruth Taylor (Bill) brother-in-law Gray McLaren (Hilda), as well as numerous other family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 2 pm at the Viking United Church, Rev. Scott Reynolds officiating.
Interment will be at the Viking Cemetery.

Donations in memory of Ethel can be made to the 'Alta -Vi Memorial Society' (Box 780 Viking, AB T0B 4N0) or S.T.A.R.S. (1441 Aviation Park NE, Box 570, Calgary, AB T2E 8M7) or charity of one's choice.
