Gérard Denis Durand

Heaven gained one of God's most gentle souls with the passing of Gerard Denis Durand.

Gerard grew up in Willow Bunch, Saskatchewan where he fell in love with his soulmate, Colleen Philippon and they were married May 30, 1981. They welcomed three children into their lives: Jason, Michael, and Alison. Gerard's 47-year career with the Credit Union started in Willow Bunch. His career took him to Ogema, Glentworth, Cabri then to Viking in 2000. Gerard finished his career in Wainwright.

Gerard was a devout Catholic and drew his strength from his faith. He was a gifted musician who loved music and shared his talent with all those around him. Gerard loved camping, boating, fishing, gardening, concerts, travelling, watching sports, and cheering on the Riders and Habs. Most of all Gerard loved any activity that allowed him to spend time with his family and friends.

He will be remembered always as a Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and a Friend. "A Gentleman".

Gerard is welcomed to his eternal home by his mother and father, Simone and Maurice Durand, and his father-in-law Bernard Philippon.
