.It is with profound sadness that the family of Gloria Jean Petrosky shares the news of her sudden passing on Friday, August 18 th , 2023.

Gloria was born on September 21 st , 1944, in St. Paul Alberta to Julia and Dan Petrowski. Gloria attended school at Lake Alice, and later Innisfree. She worked her first job at the Viking Hospital. From there she took a beautician course at NAIT in Edmonton, and worked in various beauty salons throughout Edmonton, Viking, and Fort Saskatchewan. Gloria then went on to attend Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton and got a job with the Government of Alberta in the Department of Justice. After 20 years of service, she retired in 1995 and moved back to the farm in Innisfree. Gloria later moved again to the Vialta Lodge in Viking.

Gloria had many hobbies, including, curling, riding horses, knitting, gardening, and sewing. She enjoyed watching hockey, curling and baseball on TV and then calling her family and friends to discuss the games. Gloria had a great love for county music and also enjoyed a good shopping spree with good deals.

Gloria is survived by her brothers Ron (Marion) Petroskey Clarence Petroskey, sister Gladys (Royce) Peterson, and sister-in-law Lillie Petrowski, in addition to eleven nieces, a single nephew and many extended family. She was pre-deceased by her parents Dan and Julia, her brother, Raymond and her infant sister, Shirley.

Gloria requested that no service be held, and we will honor her wishes. She will be laid to rest at the Viking Cemetery.
