James Kenneth Lingley, was born August 27, 1936 to Buster and Lillian Lingley at Viking Alberta. He has one brother Bill (Barb) Lingley from Fort Saskatchewan. Jim married Donna Sauers August 17, 1959. Jim and Donna have three sons. Greg (Dolores) Lingley, Glen (Sharon Larson) Lingley , Colin (Glecy) Lingley. They have 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Jim lived on a farm by Irma with his wife of 55 years. Papa Jim and Aunt Muzzy (Donna) hosted a special "Buckaroo Rodeo" for 19 years on their farm. Jim was greatly loved and will be missed by all that knew him.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held September 30th at 1:00 at the Kinsella Community Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cross Cancer institute C/O Alberta Cancer Foundation 11560 University Ave. Edmonton, Alberta T6G 1Z2 or on line at albertacancer.ca/memorial. As well the family is setting up a scholarship program in memory of Jim at the Irma school.
