It is with great sadness the family of Joan Isabelle Ruth Thengs (Grannie) announce her sudden
passing on Monday March 13, 2023 at the age of 84. She was a loving mom, grannie, and
great-grannie and she will be greatly missed.
She will be remembered by her children: Deborah (Henry), Donna, Dwayne (Wanda), and Cindy
(Richard). Step-daughters: Leslie (Paul), Robin (Bruce), Kelly and Kismet. Step-sons: Brook,
Chet, and Shane .Foster Daughter: Peggy. Grandchildren: Sheldon (Jody), Anita (Aron),
Sharlene (Gene), Brande (Lance), Tiguy, Holly (Garfield), Shera (Ray), Natasha (Rob),
Vanessa, Kenny (Shandi), Stefanie (Graham), Alex, Joey (Mika), Brett, Raiven, Tyler, Shiree,
Tyler, Denny (Leah). Great-Grandchildren: Courtney (Matt), Austin (Julia), Landan, Summer,
Gunnar, Hunter, Shayla, Kaiden, Shalaine, Ruby, Rio, Chase, Mikayla, Zelaya, and Kirah.
Siblings: Sheila, Esther and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Joan is predeceased by her husband Ormie, son-in-law Lou, step-daughter Tracey, step-son
Keith and siblings: Roslan, Clara, Clifford, Victor, Dorothy, Betty, Gordon, Ronald, and Evelyn.
There will be no service, a private burial will take place at the Minburn Cemetery at a later date.
