Julie Gaye Wrzesien

May 11, 1980 – July 15, 2025

It is with great sadness that the family of Julie Gaye Wrzesien announces her passing on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.

Julie was a beautiful, outgoing person who related to everyone she met but was especially close to her family and long-time friends. She enjoyed travel, outdoor activities such as cycling and skiing, and spending time with her loved ones.

Julie loved children and her home was often a hub of activity for her son and all of his friends. She also had a special relationship with her nephews and nieces who will miss her dearly.

The love and light of her life was her wonderful son, Ashton Wrzesien, with whom she spent her time playing games and sports, sharing talks, and cuddled together watching movies.

She is survived by her beloved son, Ashton, her parents, Brenda (Doug Dobry) Hunter, Ed (Dawn) Wrzesien, her brothers Chris (Lindsay Ford) Wrzesien, and Connor (Tricia) Davidson, her son's father Terry Olson, as well as extended family and important friends.
Julie was predeceased by her brother, Neil Wrzesien, and her grandparents.

A private service will be held at the Viking Cemetery on July 24, 2025.
