Maxine Marion Josephison
Sunrise - June 10, 1941
Sunset - January 1, 2024
Maxine Marion Josephison formerly of Viking, Alberta passed away peacefully after living several years with dementia. Maxine and her husband Len proudly raised their family in Viking. Maxine spent several years traveling all over the world with her husband Len and daughter Cindy. They explored such locations as Russia, China, Australia, and most of Europe- just to name a few. Maxine's favorite travel destination was Hawaii- Maxine, Len and Cindy spent every winter in Hawaii for well over 20 years. Christmas 06 Len and Maxine gifted the whole family a trip to Hawaii and it was one of Maxine's fondest memories - her treasured place with her most loved people. Maxine was an accomplished seamstress and knitter and when she wasn't traveling you would often find her in her sewing room creating her next masterpiece. Wedding dresses, suits, bridesmaids dresses, outfits, sweaters and treasured blankets - there was nothing she could not make. She would get her inspiration from fashion magazines and stores in London. Maxine spent countless hours volunteering at Holy Heart of Mary Church in Viking, as she believed in sharing her gifts with others. Maxine was a proud mother and grandmother and loved to share stories about her family with the people she would meet around the globe. You would never catch "Grandma Maxine" without her wallet filled with pictures of her grandchildren. Maxine joins her husband and traveling partner Len for her eternal journey.
She is survived by Cindy (Ed); Murray (Trudy) Erika (Max) Reagan (Dylan) and Logan (Nikki); Darren (Nicole) Alexandra and Kennedy.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Len and her parents Earl and Marion Haugen, along with her siblings, Ed, Marvin, and Audrey.
A family interment service will be held at a later date.
