It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of Norbert Otto Bauer. Norbert passed away Monday, May 8, 2023.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Holy Heart of Mary, Roman Catholic Church, Viking, Alberta with Father Danial Dsouza as celebrant. Committal will follow at the Viking Cemetery, Viking, Alberta.

Norbert is survived by his loving wife Norma, Daughters Gwenda (Steven) Raasok, Heather (Mike) McLean, 5 Grandchildren Kristi (Colin) McKenzie, Garrett (Devery) Raasok, Rachel (Dustin) Kolenosky, Ryan (Laraya) McLean, Kelvin McLean (partner Morgan) and one Great-Grandchild Sable Raasok. Brothers Lawrence (Bobbie) Bauer, Wes (Judy) Bauer and their children.

Norbert is predeceased by his parents Fred (Marie) Bauer.

The family would like to thank the Viking Extendicare and Viking Health Centre for all the wonderful care Norbert  had recieved.

The family of Norbert would like also to thank the musicians; Rachel Kolenosky, Greg Russnak, Brian Rozmahel, Megan Hafso and Gary Vitek for their music in song for the Mass,  Donna Brooke with Food With Flaire for the delicious lunch served and for Viking Funeral Services Ltd. RoseMae Kjelland, Jordan Golka, Dale Morrical and Mikayla Carrington for their care and compassion.
