ROBERT JOHN GREENWOOD
(Known to everyone as Sonny)
April 30, 1929 – January 11, 2016
Sonny passed away peacefully on January 11, 2016 in Viking, Alberta after a battle with cancer. Sonny is survived by his loving wife Margaret, daughters: Marlene (Larry) and
Lori (Bobby), grandchildren: Darwin (Paula), Michael (Christina), Dakota, Darien, Dallas (Shawna), Ashley (Keith), and 9 great grandchildren, brother Everett (Mildred), and sister Lottie. He was predeceased by his parents Tom and Viola, brother Bruce and sister-in-law Yvonne.
Sonny was always a kind and caring family man who was willing to lend a hand. He worked hard right up until he was too ill to continue doing so. He always had a smile on his face and was a good listener with a friendly ear.

A Celebration of Sonny's life will be held at the Viking United Church, 5120 – 51 Street, Viking, Alberta on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. Lunch will follow at the Viking Seniors Centre, 5024 -53 Avenue, Viking, Alberta. Inurnment will be at a later date at Lake Olivia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lake Olivia Cemetery, Box 835, Viking, Alberta T0B4N0 or to Charity of your choice in memory of Sonny.
