It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Roy, our dear husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to so many. He will be sadly missed, but live on in the memories of his wife, Gladys; his daughters, Kerry (Dave) Rose and Susan (Jim) Chalmers; grandchildren, Danielle, Dallas, Calvin and Sarah; as well as his many relatives and friends.

A Funeral service will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church, 298 Bethel Drive, Sherwood Park on Monday, October 23rd, at 11:00 am. You are invited to join the family in a good ol' Lutheran hymn-sing 15 minutes prior to the service. Lunch will be served.

Following this, the family will proceed to the Bruce Cemetery for a short burial service. If you wish, you may also choose to join them. Officiating pastors, Rev Marv Ziprick and Rev Matt Ziprick.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Bethel Lutheran Church or the Bruce Cemetery fund.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Grey Nuns for their most compassionate and loving care of Roy for the three months he was there.
