Wayne Edward Ronjom

Wayne was born on March 18 th , 1946 to Edward and Brenda Ronjom. He was the eldest of two with a sister Dianna, born 6 years later. Wayne was raised on the Ronjom farm west of Jarrow. He attended school in Kinsella. When he was 19, he met his future wife, Shirley Haeberle. Theywere married on March 11, 1967.

Not long after, they welcomed a daughter, Tammy Lynn . During the early years of their marriage, the young family lived on the Ronjom farm by Jarrow. Wayne began working for Northwestern Utilities. Four years later Shirley and Wayne welcomed their second child , Troy Wayne. By this time, Wayne and Shirley had purchased a small house in Irma across from the Irma School beside the United Church.

Wayne and Shirley eventually purchased an acreage on the outskirts of Irma by the ball diamonds. Wayne continued to work for Northwestern Utilities, and spent a lot of time working away from home. Wayne took a lot of pride being a part of the crews that were integral to putting new gas lines into new communities like Saddle Lake, and Fort McMurray. Wayne enjoyed interacting with people and the Ronjom house was a gathering place for many in Irma over the years.

In 1995, Wayne and Shirley moved back out to the Ronjom farm. Wayne retired from NUL shortly after

.Throughout his life Wayne loved having a menagerie of animals on the acreage or the farm. Rabbits, roosters, a rescued pig named Abner, baby calves that needed to be pail fed, goats that liked to hang around the house, or horses to ride. There was never a dull moment at the Ronjom home.

Wayne and Shirley became a grandparents for the first time in 1991. Forever after, he became Papa to us all. In total Wayne had 5 grandchildren. Papa enjoyed his grandchildren, and having a captive audience for his many wild tales. He became a great grandparent in 2020.

Wayne loved meeting new people and visiting. He loved entertaining friends and family with vivid tales. Wayne was a firm believer that you never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Wayne passed away at his apartment in Points West on June 11, 2024.

He leaves behind to mourn his loss, his children Troy ( Maureen) and Tammy ( Darrell) and their families, many relatives and friends
